This Vespa GL from the early 1960's was the first 10" standard model from Piaggio as opposed to the top of the range GS models .

The GL was the first deluxe standard model as the name implies "Gran Lusso" grand luxery .

It had a bench seat , 10" wheel , longer suspension and was overall a bigger scooter like the GS , it only ran for 2 years 62-64 when along came the Sprint which was similar but not so smooth on the contours.

This particular GL has been upgraded with a modern PX 125 engine for reliablitity it has 12 v electrics and starts/runs beautifully, paintwork is not great but the body is solid .
