Very unique custom built Vespa small frame originally a 50 special frame.
Specifically made to take part in the ill fated Lisbon -Dakar rally in 2007, the last ever Dakar rally race that never was, due to
rider safety concerns amid Al Qaeda threats to competitors.
This Vespa has been heavily modified to literally cross the Sahara desert , hence the very long range fuel tank in total it can carry over 30 litres.
Built to endure the toughest conditions and never used , Number 1 air suspension front and rear by Fournales.
Race tuned motor by Polini with 133cc top end , 20 mm Dellorto Carb, Polini race exhaust , extra strong clutch, swivel kickstart and knobbly tyres.
The frame has been cut at the back for ground clearance as well as extended PK forks .
Floor has been replaced with a bashplate grill with widened foot pedal and side stand.
The biggest modification on the scooter is the handlebars , which are a special molding containing lever protection, specialized equipment holders .
Amazing one off Desert racer that has lots of thought and effort put into it , ready for the road and off it !
